Club values and safe sports

Stronger together, on and off the pitch. We are proud of our club culture: open, engaged, and respectful.
Stronger together, on and off the pitch
At ARC, it’s not just about winning—it’s about how we play, learn, and grow together. We take pride in our club culture: open, engaged, and respectful. Everyone is welcome—whether you're a top athlete or holding a rugby ball for the first time. What unites us is our love for the game, our sense of team spirit, and our drive to improve together.
We believe that fun, performance, and personal development go hand in hand. On the field, we challenge each other; off the field, we take care of one another.
Rugby is more than a sport—it’s a way of life. At ARC, the following five core values form the foundation of everything we do: discipline, respect, integrity, passion and solidarity.
These values are embraced by all ARC members—from the youngest players to the veterans. They are the foundation of who we are as a club and how we treat each other, both on and off the field.
Because rugby is an intensive contact sport, we place great importance on clear rules and proper guidance. Safety starts with structure, care, and attention. Our coaches actively focus on injury prevention and follow strict protocols, for example in the case of concussions. Additionally, we require a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) from everyone working with youth.
Still, things can happen that don’t feel right. That’s why we actively promote a safe sporting environment where everyone—players, parents, coaches, and volunteers—feels seen, heard, and supported. Boundaries are respected, and we speak up when necessary.
Our confidential contact person (VCP) is available to anyone in the club who needs someone to talk to—no matter how big or small the issue. Independent, approachable, and always confidential. Together, we ensure that ARC remains a place where sportsmanship, safety, and connection go hand in hand. Because rugby is never played alone.
