Amstelveense Rugby Club is proud to announce that Thomas Muldoon will be the new Head Coach for ARC!
When Thomas arrived in the Netherlands in 1995 he joined AAC, playing No.7 and occasionally at centre. In 2005 ended playing rugby actively and started refereeing and progressed by refereeing Ereklasse in 2006. By 2008 Thomas had become an International Referee and continued referring until he retired from refereeing in 2013.
Thomas had started coaching in 2005 initially with AAC Dames for a couple of years and later was requested to assist with AAC First XV.
Thomas moves to ARC in 2014 becoming Coach of the ARC Colts. Thomas is a familiar face at ARC, since 2014, and knows most of the players, from their youth days. His passion for the game is evident on the field while coaching as well as off the field in the club house.
Thomas has a passion for Rugby and with his referee background understand the detail of the game and how referees apply the rules, and as a result are able to apply this into his coaching strategies. He believes in discipline and respect and hard work will get you the results.
Thomas is already hard at work, with pre-season planning for the new season.
