ARC is een Nederlandse club met veel internationale leden en begeleiders. Naast de Nederlandse trainers staan er trainers op het veld afkomstig uit Engeland, Frankrijk, Argentinië, Nieuw Zeeland en Zuid Afrika. Alleen al bij de Jeugd zijn meer dan 12 verschillende nationaliteiten vertegenwoordigd. Geen wonder dat tijdens trainingen en wedstrijden Nederlands nooit de enige taal is. Het internationale karakter van de rugbysport, in grootte de tweede sport ter wereld, beleef je volop op de velden, langs de lijnen en in het clubhuis van ARC. Respect, traditie, sportiviteit, vriendschap en FUN zijn kernwaarden waarop ARC zich laat voor staan.

Internationale Contacten

Meerdere keren per jaar ontvangen we buitenlandse rugbyteams waarmee, na de wedstrijden, in het clubhuis gezamenlijk wordt gegeten en de Derde Helft wordt gevierd.

De ARC teams gaan zelf, al vanaf heel jong, jaarlijks op tour naar het buitenland om daar te ervaren dat de rugbymentaliteit internationaal is. Vrienden, ook over de grens, worden zo voor het leven gemaakt. Ook tijdens tours zorgt ARC voor een optimale begeleiding: met ten minste 1 begeleider op elke 4 tourgangers.

Where does one play rugby in the Amsterdam South area? At Amstelveense RC of course!

Amstelveense RC is one of the largest rugby clubs in the Netherlands with well over 300 members. We have about 15 different nationalities from all over the world playing each week at Amstelveense RC. Naturally, as we are a Dutch club, the majority of players and coaches is still Dutch.

At ARC rugby is played at all levels: from the Dutch Premier Division (our first team), a competing second and third team, a ladies team and a social and veterans' side. We are very proud of our huge youth division with 120+ kids playing each week from 6-18 Y/O.

The mix of top sport and social rugby is important to us, meaning that rugby can be played at the highest Dutch amateur level, whereas at the same time the social character of our club is something we are very proud of.
